Here's where things get interesting. The Oppo Find X2 Pro boasts a 6. Of course, you can always turn down the resolution or refresh rate of the device and you'll see a pretty substantial increase in longevity. In our testing, we were easily able to make it through an entire day of usage with the phone set to 60Hz and p.

But if you're anything like us, you'll want to use the phone's display in all its pixel-packed, buttery smooth, glory. And for that, Oppo has the perfect ace in the hole. The Oppo Find X2 Pro supports 65W wired charging that can refill the phone from empty to percent in just 38 minutes. That easily makes it one of the fastest charging handsets in the world, only really competing with the Oppo Reno Ace at the top of the podium. But it's not bringing the phone from dead that really matters.

In our testing, we found ourselves refilling the Find X2 Pro in quick bursts - five minutes here, ten minutes there. Because the wired charging is so fast, you really don't notice the phone can barely make it through an entire day on a single charge with its screen maxed out. Believe it or not, having such fast charging actually changed how we used the Find X2 Pro. Instead of plugging the phone in every night, we opted to charge the phone every morning while we went through the motions of our daily routine. During that time, the phone would easily amass enough juice to get us through enough of the day before needing a little boost later on.

The biggest omission from the Find X2 Pro is the fact it doesn't come with support for wireless charging. But hey, with wired charging this fast, we can't really complain that much. The Oppo Find X2 Pro is the Chinese firm's first truly premium handset in almost two years, and its price reflects the fact.

At a glance, that can seem a bit steep. But when you take a closer look you realise Oppo are actually giving you the best smartphone of so far at a pretty reasonable rate. So if you compare Oppo to the rivals it's pitting itself against, the Find X2 Pro is actually a bit of a steal. If you're an Android enthusiast that wants the latest and greatest money can buy, then the simple answer is yes.

Oppo may be a relatively new player in Western markets, but it's been making brilliant phones in its domestic market of China for years now. It might be more of an unknown in Europe, but the Find X2 Pro is a brilliant smartphone that you'd be foolish to ignore. The Oppo Find X2 Pro is the best smartphone of so far and it's set a very high bar for everything else that follows it.

Despite improvements to some aspects, ColorOS 6 continues falling short

Oppo isn't joking around when it says it wants to fiercely compete with the likes of Samsung and Apple in Western markets. There is a megapixel main camera, an 8-megapixel camera with an ultra wide-angle degree lens and two 2-megapixel depth lenses. Why two? I've no idea.

One is dedicated to portrait photos, but I found it difficult to discern what it actually added to portraits. Irritatingly, the ultra wide-angle lens doesn't use more of the screen for framing shots than the standard lens. The night-shooting mode also kicks in automatically rather than allowing manual configuration. Overall, images were OK, but nothing special.
